📜 Terms and conditions for participating in the Persian Automatic Dysarthria Speech Recognition research project and using the Persian Dysarthria Speech Dataset (PDSDS)

1. Definitions

  • PDSDS: Abbreviation for Persian Dysarthria Speech Dataset.
  • Participant: A volunteer individual with dysarthria disorder who participates in the research.
  • Researcher: A researcher or student who uses the dataset for scientific research.
  • Data: Audio files and related information collected in this research.
  • Research Team: The group responsible for implementing the PDSDS project, led by Reza Afshinmehr.

2. General Conditions

The use of this website and its services is subject to the acceptance of the following rules:

  1. The minimum age for participation in the research is 18 years.
  2. For individuals under 18, the consent of parents or a legal guardian is mandatory.
  3. The participant must be diagnosed with dysarthria speech disorder.
  4. Participation in the research is completely voluntary and with full consent.
  5. Participants' information will be completely confidential and protected.
  6. The participant must have the ability to read Persian texts.
  7. Access to a device equipped with a microphone is necessary.

3. Rules for Participants

Participants in the research commit to:

  • Register personal information accurately and completely.
  • Record audio files with appropriate quality and in a low-noise environment.
  • Read the displayed texts exactly as written.
  • Refrain from recording inappropriate or offensive content.
  • Inform the research team in case of changes in health status.

4. Intellectual Property Rights

All rights related to the Persian Automatic Dysarthria Speech Recognition research project and the PDSDS dataset include the following:

  • Ownership of the research project and its scientific achievements, including the PDSDS dataset, belongs to Reza Afshinmehr, the head of the PDSDS research team.
  • Commercial use of the dataset without written permission is prohibited.
  • Researchers may use the research achievements and the dataset for scientific research purposes.
  • In all scientific publications using this dataset, PDSDS must be cited.
📚 Conditions for Researchers Using Research Achievements and the Dataset:

Researchers and academics can access the research achievements, codes, models, and dataset by submitting a formal request. Conditions:

  1. Submission of a written request from the university or research institute.
  2. Commitment to publishing research results.
  3. Citing the research achievements and the PDSDS dataset in all publications.
  4. Prohibition of commercial use without a license.

5. Restrictions on Use

Using research achievements and the dataset for the following purposes is prohibited:

  • Commercial use without a license.
  • Republication of research achievements and the dataset without permission.
  • Use for unethical or illegal purposes.
  • Identification or disclosure of the identity of participants.

6. Data Distribution License

The achievements of the Automatic Dysarthria Speech Recognition research and the PDSDS dataset are published under the following license:

This license allows users to:

8. Responsibilities

The PDSDS research team assumes the following responsibilities:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of participant information.
  • Providing technical support for recording issues.
  • Regularly updating the dataset.
  • Responding to questions and concerns.

The research team is not responsible for the following:

  • Technical issues with participants' personal devices.
  • Lack of internet access.
  • Unauthorized use of the dataset by third parties.

9. Changes to Terms

The research team reserves the right to update these terms at any time:

  • Major changes will be notified via email and SMS.
  • Continued use of the site implies acceptance of the changes.
  • The date of the last update is listed at the bottom of the page.

10. Dispute Resolution

In case of any dispute:

  • Priority is given to peaceful resolution of the dispute.
  • The competent authority is the Judiciary.
  • The governing laws are the laws of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
